Nutmeg is a type of tropical fruit commonly planted in Teluk Pahang and Balik Pulau, Penang. Nutmeg is rich in natural antioxidants, improve digestion, relieve throat irritation and reduce flatulence. You can find fresh fruits almost anywhere but some of the best Rojak sauces can only be found in Penang. Rojak is the best defined as fruit salad dish and the word ‘Rojak’ means mixture in the Malay language. The dish is a combination of various fruits such as guava, jicama, pineapples and others. And, the Rojak paste is the main component of the dish.

With the scrumptious taste of peanuts and sugar, this crumbly traditional snack is the snack that people will bring to watch Chinese street opera shows. Beh Teh Saw in Hokkien means ‘horse hoof crispy biscuit’. The biscuit is thicker on one end and resembles a ‘horse hoof’.
