Although some cities encourages fist bumps or elbow bumps, we are still touching each other by doing that. So how do we practice it while social distancing ourselves?

These are the few New Normal on how we say ‘Hello’ when we meet up.

The Namaste greeting is also used in many parts of Asia especially India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Thailand and Cambodia. The gesture is just as simple as putting your palms together and bow slightly. It also means a deep form of respect to others. If you aren’t sure whether it is appropriate to use it, you can always bow.

Hand on Heart

The ‘hand on heart’ is known as a substitute to handshakes as we can see that many official meetings and events are using this specific gesture. You just have to put your hand on your heart as to acknowledge the presence of the person.

Besides, it is also quite common among Muslim women to practice this gesture in certain cities.

Salute
greeting Ways to say hello without touching each other salute 1024x1024

Salute may be a sign used in military or the police force, but it can also be used by anyone. Simple as it is and with the same meaning in the military, it is a sign of respect.

Wakanda Salute
greeting Ways to say hello without touching each other wakanda salute 1024x1024

A popular type of salute among the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans, it is made popular by the movie Black Panther.

Just make sure you don’t do it in business or official meetings, some rigid individuals might not be able to accept it.

To do it correctly, cross your arms to form a letter ‘X’ and let’s make the world forever like ‘Wakanda Forever’.

Finger Heart
greeting Ways to say hello without touching each other korean finger heart 1024x1024

Made popular by Korean celebrities, you just have to put the tips of your thumb and forefinger together. But some people might misunderstand it as ‘money’.

Which of the gesture is your favourite one? Whichever way you may want to use, just remember that we still have to keep each other safe and distance ourselves.
